The days of mere chat gimmicks are over. With the latest update, we’re transforming Knodge from a passive archive into an active, “robotic-ready” knowledge infrastructure. Find out what this means for you and your team here.

No More Data Frustration (Pulling the Plug)

Until now, AI has always meant this: You first have to painstakingly clean up and structure your data before the machine can do anything with it. We’ve pulled the plug on that approach. You simply toss your unsorted PDFs, notes, and chats into Knodge. The AI starts learning from the very first second and automatically builds a clean, structured knowledge base in the background. The Vision: Your Knowledge Acts on Its Own

Imagine your notes are no longer just static text, but automated commands. You write: "Get me the news from page XYZ" or "Send the drone to the vineyard and check the moisture levels"—and Knodge translates that into structured actions for your robots and agents.

We’re also bringing Knodge to your own hardware (via Ollama or Jan AI). You retain full local data sovereignty, secured by encrypted synchronization to our European cloud as a backup. Your local system becomes the API hub for your robots and the web hub for your team.

The Foundation Is in Place – What’s New Already

To support this vision, we’ve significantly upgraded the system over the past few weeks. Here are the most important new features from our June update:

Intelligence Leap & Autonomy: With the new dynamic thinking mode, the AI considers several logical steps before responding. Additionally, the AI now acts autonomously within your file system (e.g., bundling ZIP archives, managing the Recycle Bin).
Smart Template Updates: Updated system templates can now be applied to your portal with just one click.
Strict Separation of Team and Personal Knowledge: Personal AI knowledge and team bookmarks are now strictly separated. Roles such as Editor or Manager are color-coded. This way, everyone can immediately see what’s relevant to the whole team and what’s just for you.
Your Chat Is Your Memory: Your chat history is your personal, searchable knowledge base. The AI remembers your inputs right there. A small icon now shows you exactly which mode the AI used for each response.
Voice Output & Mobile Performance: Have answers read aloud to you naturally. We’ve also significantly sped up the chat for mobile devices—including automatic image compression.
Connectivity & Compliance: Full email integration, Threema integration for high security, and webhooks (DATEV, Zapier). We’re also ViDA-Ready (ZUGFeRD/JSON) for the upcoming e-invoicing requirement (learn more in our articles GoBD Basics and How to Meet GoBD Requirements Simply and Securely).
