From Madrid to Toledo: A Spanish Adventure On Sunday, April 26th, we made our escape from Madrid. The city had been good to us, but the siren call of nature and adventure was too strong to resist. We decided on a hike not far outside the city – a day trip to recharge before the week ahead. Our destination was a gorgeous area with a lovely waterfall. It gave us a taste of what Extremadura or Andalusia might be like – a beautiful preview! The scenery was captivating, full of lush greenery and rock formations. And of course, no visit to Toledo is complete without indulging in their famous marzipan.
